On examining histological preparations of different organs from a 65 years old emaciated man of the Hutu race we observed: right suprarenal gland twice the volume of the left, with countless gram positive parasites, dimensions from 2 to 4 I~, as well as mononuclear infiltration and focal necrosis. The lungs presented slight oedema and hyperaemia. It is to be noted that we did not find any parasite in the other organs such as the spleen, the liver which was cirrhotic; the heart showed fibrosis with loss of striation and spotty necrosis; fibrous endocarditis.
