We define a notion of pseudospherical type for smooth representations of the nontrivial two fold central extension of SL2.Q2/. We describe completely the irreducible representations that contain the pseudospherical type. We relate our results to Kohnen’s plus and minus spaces of classical modular forms of half integral weight.
