The diagnostic features of the ABR [auditory brainstem response] which are most effective in identifying patients with cerebellopontine angle tumors, are discussed. The conclusions are based on the results of 40 normal subjects, 35 patients with a cerebellopontine angle tumor and 68 patients without a tumor. Abnormal ABR was seen in 10% of the tumor patients and 10% of the non-tumor patients.
