DISCUSSIONIn the past 2 decades, 20 cases of gastrointestinal metastases from lung carcinoma with clinical manifestations have been reported, with only 3 in the colon (1, 2). In our patient, the diagnosis was suggested by the presence of diarrhea and bloody stool. The fistula is exceptional, because metastases usually present as an obstruction or perforation (1, 3). We found only one case of a duodenocolic fistula, diagnosed by emergency laparotomy (4). Once clinically detected, metastases augur a poor prognosis during a short time (3, 5).
