At late stages of the infective process, pseudorabies virus DNA replicates in the form of large, tangled masses. These tangles were analyzed by cleavage with restriction endonucleases. The tangled masses contain concatemeric forms of linear arrays of unit size molecules in head-to-tail alignment.
