Fourteen terpenoids, including six new compounds, have been isolated from the marine Acanthella cavernosa collected off Hachijo-jima Island. They inhibit of larval attachment and metamorphosis of the barnacle Balanus amphitrite. Their structures were determined mainly by spectroscopic methods.
