The article describes the case of a 57 year old male with history of lung cancer presented with palpitations followed by transient loss of consciousness. He was found to be in monomorphic ventricular tachycardia (VT) and was electrically cardioverted into sinus rhythm. He was implanted with an implantable cardioverter defibrillator for secondary prevention after the patient's survival was estimated to be more than 1 year.
