In this note we shall be concerned with square matrices whose elements lie in a given ordered algebraic structure. A particular case of such matrices is well known, namely matrices whose elements lie in a Boolean algebra, so-called Boolean matrices. We intend to generalise here two results well known for Boolean matrices to matrices over more general structures.
