A high incidence of disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC) in adult patients with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) is reported. However, studies comprising both childhood and adult patients are sparse and the clinical relevance of DIC in ALL patients has been a conflicting issue.
