The brass plates are screwed to a heavy glass plate. The starting point is S and the sides of the paths are traversed in the order indicated. A, B, and C are binding posts. This instrument is obscured from direct vision by a screen. mirror tracing, as usually studied in laboratory classes, is at all capable of furnishing the experimental controls necessary for a serviceable analysis of this coordination.
