Psychology and Language by Clark and Clark(3) is a more comprehensive text that is clear, up-to-date, and nicely formatted. The Psychology ofLanguage by Fodor, Bever, and Garrett(4) is the most sophisticated of the current texts. All three authors are active researchers in the area of psycholinguistics. Their book emphasizes reviewing and evaluating recent research and discussing areas in need of further investigation.
