Yet, as we all know, the basis of all implantrelated procedures, be they surgical, prosthetic, recovery, or maintenance, is sound basic and clinical research undertakings. A micro-this or nano-that did not appear in the clinician’s hands simply because of another glitzy promotional brochure that happened to be in today’s mail.
