This paper carries out a stylistic analysis of statement by American former President Bush on North Korea' s Nuclear Test.The analysis is presented from two aspects of linguistic description in terms of phonetics, vocabulary,sentence and text and the appropriateness of the components given in the text.In the course of English language teaching,the stylistic analysis contributes to enhancing students' sensitiveness of the style of English oratory and better comprehend the significance of the Bush's statement.
