I will present a case history of citizen-directed water monitoring using Public Lab and other tools to gather evidence for a Clean Water Act case. I will discuss that effort within the context of other scientific and investigative efforts embedded in communities in Southern Louisiana facing rapid environmental changes spurred by the BP / DWH disaster, the Louisiana coastal crisis, and the climate crisis.
