A series of novel derivatives of beta -phenoxyethanols, useful as remedies for arteriosclerosis, were prepared by the reaction of the corresponding beta -phenoxyethanols with the corresponding phenyl isocyanates or, in some instances, by a reduction of the corresponding aldehydes using sodium borohydride or by acetylation of the corresponding alcohols using acetic anhydride.
