WIENEvER A sucEoN is confronted with he possibility that lis young patient may have Ewing's sarcoma he is inevitably in-slined to view the prognostic situation with sonsiderable gloominess. And it is admitted hat there is good reason for this attitude. However, in order to emphasize the fact hat patients do survive and some are pparently cured, a review of the literature was undertaken to determine the number af ten-year survivals. In an effort to point out the value of care-ful follow up and energetic therapy, a case of Ewing's sarcoma is presented. The patient las survived ten years in spite of two episodes of pulmonary metastases. This is believed to be the only case recorded in the English literature of recurrent pulmonary metastases treated both surgically and by irradiation.
