[en] The primary goal of intensity interferometry is to learn about the lifetime of the fireball created in heavy-ion collisions. From this information, it should be possible to further understand the possible formation of quark-gluon plasma. At unrelativistic energies, present interest is focused on two-pion correlations. At intermediate energies, the two-proton interferometry technique is the main topic of review. Recent experiments have been able to yield quantitative information regarding the space-time extensin of nuclear reactions. This review focuses on both the theoretical basis for hadronic interferometry as well as the experimental determination of correlation functions and their calculation via nuclear transport theory. 170 refs., 6 figs
