The article presents a study which investigate the psychological effects of an activity with a human-shaped robot by investigating care recipients' and staff members' points of view about the robot at pre-and post-robot activity. The study found that the care recipients' and staff members' impressions of the robot became more positive after the robot activity. The study suggest that robot activities might help prevent declines in physical and cognitive functioning in older adults.
