The article discusses a study which evaluates whether sea lice resistance to emamectin benzoate (EMB) develops in British Columbia. The study determined the effective dose (EC50) in laboratory bioassays by exposing adult sea lice to EMB treatment concentrations in vitro. Results suggest that female Lepeophtheirus salmonis are sensitive to EMB than male L. salmonis.
