The article a case study of a 55-year-old man with HIV infection since 1994 was admitted in the hospital with a four-day history of fever, rigors, chills, loss of appetite, lethargy and mild diarrhea. The anti-retroviral therapy was discontinued while intravenous cefuroxime and oral roxithromycin was given for possible chest infection. The renal biopsy and histology showed that the patient has an acute interstitial nephritis with a neutrophilic and eosinophilic infiltrate.
