METHODSThe experiments were made on twenty-eight cats anaesthetized with sodium pentobarbitone given intraperitoneally (35 mg/kg body weight); in six other cats, a urethane-chloralose mixture was used (5 0 ml./kg intraperitoneally of a solution containing 10%
