Mobility and Adjustability in Professional Occupation of Floating People: Evidence from Wuhan

本文以2000年人口普查和2005年新一轮调查为基础，分析了武汉市流动人口职业的流动性和适应性。流动人口通过职业流动来规避职业歧视，寻找理想职业，但他们的职业地位并没有得到很大的改变。不仅要为流动人口制定政策和制度，而且要提高流动人口自身的技能和知识水平。
Based on the census 2000 and a new survey in 2005,the study depicts the mobility and adjustability in professional occupation of Floating People in Wuhan.They avoid the discrim-inations and search for the ideal occupation through professional mobility.However,their status is seldom changed.Not only the policy and the institution should be set for them,but also should the floating people improve their own skills and knowledge.
