The rural left-behind woman refers to the married female left at home by their husbands leaving for urban cities to work.On the basis of the flow of psycho-social development of rural left-behind women,this paper reviews the related literature and summarizes the defects of studies based on the assumptions of "disadvantage groups" and masculinism perspective.Researches about rural left-behind women should,in the context of social changes and framework of "migration-left behind"connection,describe the developing trajectories within different subtypes of this group,explore the resilience mechanism of family ecological system under the conditions of the gaps in the family functioning continuity,and make contributions to the family-level intervention.
