FTA(Fault Tree Analysis) is an effective method for PRA(Process Risk Analysis) and computer-aided fault tree synthesis is very important.In this paper,we present a new synthesis method based on graph simulation and data mining. Graph model is a deep knowledge,it can be used to express the complex cause and effect relations,and has very large capacity of containing process potential information.So,it is especially suitable for application in safety field.We deeply study on the fault propagation mechanism and the intrinsic principle of fault tree.Essentially,the theory fundament for fault diagnosis,HAZOP and fault tree analysis is the same.That is the static state qualitative simulation and analysis for the system.Through the static state qualitative simulation(graph simulation),the fault scenario pattern is got.Based on it,a graph modeling inference platform is developed.Fault scenario analysis is performed on this platform and the fault scenario pattern is obtained.Then the association rules are abstracted from it and finally connect to form the fault tree.We put forward a centrifuge pump and level system to show the synthesis process and demonstrate the applicability and efficiency of this method.
