Investigated the prevalence of Type-A behavior among 299 female professionals, nonprofessionals, homemakers, part-time employees, and students using the Jenkins Activity Survey (JAS) and a family history questionnaire. Professionals had significantly higher scores than did homemakers on Type A, Job Involvement, Speed and Impatience, and Hard-Driving and Competitive scales of the JAS.
