The inconsistent of some of the findings in the literature of experimental stomach ulceration are probably attributed to the insensitivity of the measures employed in determining the degree of pathological changes. A procedure of producing, examining, photographing and evaluating stomach ulceration more accurately is described and compared with others. The procedure involves the use of a technique of photographing ulcerated stomachs which is effective in evaluating the severity of ulceration objectively.
