^ subject of intra-epidermal carcinoma has been one of great interest to pathologists and dermatologists, and the relevant literature contains many valuable and interesting discussions. It is unfortunate, however, that reported cases have been described under a wide variety of titles so that we are left with a most confusing terminology. On the other hand, it would appear that it is possible to classify these cases fairly simply into three groups, each of which has a characteristic histology.
