Continuous Urea Gel System. After carboxymethylation, chick tubulin and sea urchin tubulin each migrated as two closely spaced bands (FIGURE 1). Following Bryan and Wilson, 4 we shall call the faster-moving band &tubdin and the slower-moving one a-tubulin.
