Arguments are given for the application of a theory developed by Moli\`ere (to describe multiple nuclear scattering) to the problem of electron scattering in a plasma. The basic equations are the same as those obtained and solved by Moli\`ere and at a later date by Bethe, but are derived herein in a hopefully simpler manner. Several applications for these results are suggested and a simple diffusion problem is solved as an example. It is concluded that there is a class of plasma collision problems wherein an application of Moli\`ere's theory can yield interesting and useful results.
