BackgroundWe developed this panel in the frame of a large cohort study with the aim to enumerate as many described immune cell subsets by flow cytometry as possible for GWAS analysis (1). One of the panels developed for this study and described here allows the analysis of B cells, dendritic cells and monocytes. These subsets were combined in the same flow cytometry panel based on shared phenotypic markers such as the high expression of MHC class II molecules, co-stimulatory molecules (CD40, CD83 and CD86) and Fc receptors (CD32)(2–4).
