The article presents a study which discusses discovery of contact metamorphism-related baddeleyite from the Bayan Obo Deposit in Northern North China Craton. Topics discussed include use of baddeleyite to determine crystallization ages of maficultramafic alkaline rocks such as carbonatites and kimberlites, separation of baddeleyite using crushing and separation techniques, and separation of baddeleyite from rare-earth element (REE)-niobium (Nb) sample.
