The article presents a case study of a boy with Leigh syndrome (LS) or subacute nectorizing encephalopathy. It reveals the administration of 25-50mg/kg per day of sodium dichloroacetate (DCA) to the patient for a few months and of 10mg/kg per day thiamine on the fifth day of admission. It reveals the symptoms of the disease observed in the patients including blank face and muscle weakness. It cites the results of the examinations through magnetic resonance imaging and hematologic laboratory.
