I received a letter asking for advice from Alex, a qualified nurse. She explained that she had been going through a tough time in her personal life and had just taken six months out of nursing 'to get herself straight'. Her manager had not been sympathetic to the time she needed to sort out her affairs, so leaving her post was the only option. Her divorce was now finalised and she had moved to a new part of the country in the hope of starting her life over again.
