Fix a PV number λ− 1> 1. Given p=(p 1,⋯, p m)∈ N m, b=(b 1,⋯, b m)∈ Q m, for the self-similar set E p, b=⋃ i= 1 m (λ p i E p, b+ b i) we find an efficient algorithm to test whether E p, b satisfies the open set condition (strong separation condition) or not.
