We considered the variation of the position of the hind parts of the body and its direction fixed to the silk framework when a silkworm spun a cocoon. The positions and directions of a silkworm body were measured from the footing stage to the cocoon construction and their serial change was investigated. The result indicated that there was a quasi periodicity with lag 9 for the change of the fixed position and that the fixed direction of the silkworm body gradually gathered in a concentric configuration around the major axis of the spun region with the decrease in size of the region. It also showed that the silkworm changed the direction of the hind parts of the body at a rate of 4 per second on average.
