In order to simulate silk reeling with computer,it is necessary to analyze and simulate the sizeseries of cocoon filaments.In this paper,the size series of cocoon filaments are analyzed as non-stationary time series with finite length, of which the trend component and fluctuant one are separated.Then the former is simulated with computer and the result is ideal.There is more general mathematicalsignificance in this study result.It can be used to analyze and simulate other types of non-stationarytime series with finite length.
