Optically active 3-alkoxy-6-hydroxymethyl-6-methyl-2-cyclohexenone and 6-acetoxymethyl-3-alkoxy-6-methyl-2-cyclohexenone were efficiently obtained by lipase-catalyzed kinetic resolution.
