The % of babies fed on National Dried Milk (NDM) in Oxford City has decreased steadily from 40% in 1956 to 3% in 1973. This is probably because of the wide range of infant milk formulas available, since there has been no overwhelming increase in breast feeding. Since NDM is not inferior to many of the commercial formulas and yet costs considerably less, it is suggested that the product should be advertised more widely and be made more readily available.
