Hepatitis B infection is a worldwide viral disease. In 2016, the World Health Organization published a strategy towards its elimination as a public health threat in 2030. The objective of this study was to analyze the evolution of acute hepatitis B infection, in Spain between 2008 and 2018. A descriptive analysis was performed based on the cases of acute hepatitis B notified to the National Epidemiological Surveillance Network. Jointpoint Regression Program was used to evaluate trends in rates.
