Lack of physical activity in childhood has become a growing concern worldwide. The amount of required physical activity (PA) of children under three years old, however, has not been well investigated among researchers due to a lack of efficient methods. We have introduced a child-safe and child-friendly PA measuring device and its data analysis system, which we used to analyze the PA of one- and two-year-old children at a nursery school. Our focus was physical strength, rest-time frequency, and nap-time rhythms with reference to the 2020 WHO recommendations. We found that the PA and rest time of the children in this study satisfied the recommendations. In addition, we examine nap time in school with regards to sleep habits and discuss nap time behavior which indicates good quality sleep. [The overall results for the children and their individual results show visible evaluation to both researchers and practitioners. In the future, we plan to further our study and focus on three childcare activities, light PA, continuous sedentary time, and nap time.
