We investigate the effects of the UV background radiation on galaxy formation with the semi-analytic model, which is an extension of Cole et al. (1994) by including of the photoionization process (Nagashima, Gouda & Sugiura 1998). In order to see this effect, we use almost the same parameters of their ‘fiducial’model except for the UV radiation as chosen by Cole et al. (1994).
