In this paper, a novel wideband equal-ripple differential bandpass filter (DBPF) is proposed. The wideband DBPF is constructed by three transverse microstrip lines and four branch-line structures, and its differential mode (DM) equivalent circuit is a bandpass characteristic, while the common mode (CM) equivalent circuit shows a bandstop performance. Therefore, the proposed wideband DBPF has intrinsic CM noise rejection feature. Moreover, parallel coupled-line (PCL) structure was introduced to create additional transmission zeros at the lower and upper DM passband to enhance the selectivity. For demonstration, a wideband prototype is designed at 4 GHz. The simulated results agree well with those obtained through synthesis.
