BackgroundCBTRUS is a unique professional research organization that focuses exclusively on providing quality statistical data on the population-based incidence of primary brain and CNS tumors in the US (for more information on CBTRUS see: http://www. cbtrus. org/aboutus. html). CBTRUS was incorporated as a nonprofit 501 (c)(3) in 1992 following a study conducted by the American Brain Tumor Association (ABTA) to determine the feasibility of a central registry focused on primary brain and CNS tumors in the US.
