The article presents a detailed research on the head skeleton of a new born Manis Javanica. Three specimens of the head of Manis Javanica observed, show three quite different stages of development of the head skeleton. Although other stages of development are still needed the main events of ossification and many details of the chondrocranium can now be summarized. The article suggests needs for more knowledge of the development of the head skeleton in this species and mammals generally. The article also presents information about the brain development in Javanica.
