In this paper, we develop the supporting tool for public transportation system by applying GIS. The technique of the public transportation planning that it is chosen from many alternative plans becomes possible by this tool. Route-Potential and Marginal-Population-Depended were used for the index that a route was evaluated. Each Route in Nagoya City Bus was evaluated by using this tool. In conclusion, the extraction of the route to be subsidized from the public assistance became possible by using this system.
