A total of 100 Thai blood samples from selected individuals in Bangkok have been tested with the following antisera: anti-A, A1, B, A + B, M, N, S, Rho (D), rh[image] (C), rhw (Cw), rh[image] (E), hr[image] (c), hrA(e), P, Lep, Fya and K. The calculated gene frequencies are: A = .180, B = .249, O = .571. No example of A2 was detected. ms - .595, mS = .045, ns = .320 nS = .040. R1 = .820, R2 = .130, R[degree] = .050. No rhw (Cw) was detected. In the 4 remaining blood groups the results were: P + = 30%, Le (a+) = 23%, Fy (a+) = 98%, K + = O. P.T.C. taste tests were also carried out. Comparisons have been made with southern Chinese and although the Thais have slightly higher frequencies for B, m and R1, the results indicate a close genetic relationships between the two peoples.
