Tattooing is quite a common fashion worldwide in spite of its traumatism and the introduction of potentially toxic pigments. The most frequent complications include contact dermatitis, granulomas, infections and verrucae [1, 2]. The literature also reports cases of malignant melanoma in tattoos [3–9]. We report the case of a malignant melanoma which formed on a nevus on which a tattoo had been made.
