Neutron diffraction strain measurements with high spatial resolution were carried out on a dissimilar metal weld (DMW). Residual stress were calculated and compared using three different approaches for reference value (d0). The results underline the sensitivity of the resulting residual stress profiles on the d0used, particularly in the welded region.
