The article presents a research which examines the restriction of the Bergman space to an invariant subspace. Particular focus is given to the basic problems of the restriction operators. It illustrates several basic properties of the restriction operators as well as discusses results of studies on similarity and quasi-similarity. The essential spectrum of a bounded linear operator on a Hilbert space is explored.
