This letter replies to Mole's criticism (Lancet, Jan 11, p.90) of the authors' work on the effects of Auger emitters in testes. Results with thallium-201 and thallium-204, intratesticularly distributed indium-111 oxine, and external x rays, and comparison of the effects of Auger emitters with those due to their ..beta..-emitting analogues are discussed.
